Yes! You read correctly, the procrastinator is actually being artsy! I'll be posting my doodles and my finished pieces sometime this weekend. :)

I am reading it for my lit class as well. I really can't stand how everyone treats Piggy (I've only read to the end of chapter three), its maddening. But other than that I like the book. Did you?
:icongoldenninspiration7:
Yeahhhh i agree with you on the Piggy thing. it makes me really sad because i used to be just like him.
I liked the book tho overall. Some of the terms they used confused me a bit though. (like the 'scar';)
It was a really great story and you can tell there was a lot of thought put into it. It fascinates me to see how many layers you can find in a book.

I used to be like him too.
I am actually starting to like the book as well, I am in chapter six right now. I am okay with most of the terms, except I get confused when Piggy uses double negatives in his speech. For the 'smart one,' he has bad grammar lol.
The 'scar' refers to where the plane crashed through the trees, leaving, in a sense, a scar on the island.
I am fascinated by that as well, though I wonder why the author never placed girls on the island?
Have you read The English Patient?
:icongoldenninspiration7:
lol That's true. I also found it funny how they said near the begining that they would be civilized because they took pride in being British, and they ended up becoming complete savages.
xD

I don't really know why he didn't put girls on the island.... It doesn't make much sense.... I mean, girls would have been equally capable in proving Golding's points....
:-?

Nope, I have not read that one... Is is good?
